Jil Sander takes part in Cassina’s “Staging Modernity” theatrical performance and installation at Teatro Lirico Giorgio Gaber during Milan Design Week 2025, curated by Formafantasma.
Through its dressing of the performers directed by Fabio Cherstich, Jil Sander offers a versatile wardrobe that effortlessly allows bodily moment and seamlessly merges the costumes with the furniture objects at the core of the exhibition celebrating the 60th anniversary of the production of the Le Corbusier®, Pierre Jeanneret®, Charlotte Perriand® Collection edited by Cassina.
With a heritage of design, Jil Sander has long been revered for its purity of form across collections that explore the ultimate in personal luxury through meticulous attention to quality and fit. This is not the first time Jil Sander offers costumes for a performance, following in the steps of Ms. Jil Sander who in 1984 had created looks for John Neumeier’s ballet “Mozart 338” designing garments that allowed the Hamburg Corps de Ballet to move with ease, even in the most unconventional or extreme poses.
